I was born in Cameroon and grew up in France, where the French language has been an intrinsic part of my life since childhood. I learned French both naturally—through family, community, and everyday life—and academically, through my studies and a lifelong love for literature. Holding a Master’s degree in Language Didactics from La Sorbonne Nouvelle (Paris), I am deeply passionate about languages and the learning process.
For over 10 years, I have had the privilege of teaching French as a Foreign Language (FLE) to a wide range of learners: children, teenagers, adults, professionals, students, and language enthusiasts at all levels. I am also certified to prepare, assess, and grade the DELF exams, which has further enhanced my ability to support learners with structured, exam-oriented preparation when needed.
My teaching journey began in France, working with allophone teenagers and adults—those who do not speak French natively and are learning the language to integrate into a French-speaking society. After years working in Public Affairs as a Project Manager and Communications Specialist, I moved to London, where my passion for teaching French was reignited. Starting with children, I gradually developed my own teaching method, one that balances steady progression with the enjoyment of learning. This approach has resonated with many learners, allowing them to not only improve but also truly appreciate the process, leading to positive feedback and countless recommendations for our lessons.

I created Gaëlle & French Tutors for a simple reason: I wanted every learner to have the chance to grow, succeed, and feel confident communicating in French, with the right guidance, support, and encouragement.

Let me introduce you to Marie, one of our dedicated and experienced tutors at Gaëlle & French Tutors.
Marie has been a language teacher for over 9 years. Originally from France, she has taught French in Spain, Fiji, and now French Polynesia, where she lives on the stunning island of Huahine. Her international background includes teaching in Alliance Française centres and international schools, working with learners of all ages — from young children to advanced adult students. She’s also certified to prepare and assess DELF exams and has experience tutoring native French literature students at the high school level.
At Gaëlle & French Tutors, Marie teaches using our unique teaching method, designed to make learning French engaging, structured, and rooted in real-life communication.
What makes Marie truly special is her ability to connect with a wide range of learners and tailor her lessons to their unique needs, whether online or in person. She sees teaching as a two-way journey and embraces every opportunity to grow alongside her students.
Currently completing her Master’s degree in Language Didactics at La Sorbonne Nouvelle, Marie is also passionate about discovering new cultures. She practices Tahitian dance, enjoys yoga and outdoor adventures.
As you may have noticed, Marie is a true globe-trotter and cultural explorer. Her enthusiasm for languages and people is contagious.
She joined Gaëlle & French Tutors because she believes, like we do, that learning French should be accessible, dynamic, and meaningful. Marie now leads many of our online courses, and consistently helps her students make real, confident progress in French. We’re lucky to have her on our team!

Lina is a passionate and dynamic French tutor with an outstanding academic background and a unique mix of intellectual depth and real-world experience. She holds a Master’s degree from the prestigious London School of Economics and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and International Relations from Pomona College in California, which gives her a truly global and multidisciplinary approach to teaching.
As a native French speaker who earned distinction in her French Baccalaureate, Lina combines academic excellence with a strong cultural foundation. But what really sets her apart is her diverse background — including her experience as a boxing instructor — which brings to her lessons the values of discipline, motivation, and personal goal-setting.

After launching and running her own startup, Mel’s Talk, for nearly three years, she learned first-hand what it means to take risks, stay committed, and grow through challenges. Her journey as an entrepreneur — from building a company dedicated to giving voice to early-stage founders, to producing and sharing their stories — has shaped her into someone who values communication, resilience, and meaningful connections.
While closing down her company was a difficult decision, it became an opportunity for reflection and redirection. That turning point rekindled a long-standing passion she had once nurtured: teaching French. Having studied in both France and the UK, and now pursuing a journalism degree, she brings a rare mix of creativity, structure, and authenticity to everything she does.
At Gaëlle & French Tutors, she now teaches using our signature method, carefully designed to make French learning engaging, structured, and rooted in real-life communication. Her experience in storytelling and mentoring shines through in her teaching; she connects with learners in a supportive, personal way, helping them express themselves and grow in confidence.

I am delighted to introduce Julie, a passionate and experienced teacher who has joined us at Gaëlle & French Tutors team.
Every week, she supports her students (children as well as adults) with care and enthusiasm, offering lessons tailored to their individual needs, learning pace, and goals.
With children, she focuses on reading, writing, phonics, and oral expression through playful and interactive activities: recognizing letters and sounds, learning new words, improving pronunciation, building confidence in speaking, and exploring French culture and history through illustrated stories and storytelling activities.
With adults, Julie takes an equally personalized approach. Her lessons center on real-life communication, fluency, vocabulary enrichment, and grammar mastery, helping each learner gain confidence and speak French naturally in both personal and professional contexts.
An engineer by training and passionate about music and dance, Julie conducts her lessons with the sensitivity of a musician, tuning into each learner’s pace and personality to create a learning experience that feels both natural and inspiring. As a teacher in a FLAM (Français Langue Maternelle) school, she has successfully helped many students grow into confident and expressive speakers.

Let me introduce you to Ibtissam, a remarkable addition to our team at Gaëlle & French Tutors, whose varied experience and deep love for languages make her an inspiring teacher.
For the past seventeen years, Ibtissam has dedicated herself to the art of teaching French and bringing it to life in diverse educational settings : from selective French preparatory classes to universities, from high schools to innovative programmes supporting students at risk of dropping out. Along the way, this rich journey has not only refined her skills as a teacher but also shaped a vision in which learning a language feels personal, meaningful and rooted in real connection and growth.
She holds the prestigious French agrégation in Spanish, a PhD in Comparative Literature, and advanced degrees in both Arabic and French as a Foreign Language. What truly sets Ibtissam apart is her ability to create meaningful relationships with her learners. Whether they are preparing for exams, professional fluency or seeking to express themselves in French. Her lessons are dynamic, flexible, and tailored to the pace, interests, and goals of each student

Meet Aurélie, the newest recruit to join the Gaëlle & French Tutors team! A passionate French tutor with an entrepreneurial spirit, she brings vibrant energy to our community of native French teachers.
Her love of language, literature and self-expression shines through in her teaching. Having obtained Bachelor's degrees in Human Resources Management and Communication in Belgium, she combines academic rigour with practical experience gained in recruitment and HR. However, her true calling is education. Over the past five years, she has taught French to a diverse range of learners, from young children to adults, adopting a teaching philosophy centred on the idea that learning should be enjoyable. Her warm, dynamic and adaptable approach creates an engaging, tailored environment in which every student can flourish.

Using our tailored method, she crafts lessons that are not only interactive and fun but also carefully designed to meet each learner’s unique needs and goals. I am delighted to introduce Manon, a passionate and dedicated French teacher who brings both warmth and expertise to the Gaëlle & French Tutors team.
With four years of teaching experience in the UK - including two years as Head of French in a London academy - Manon has developed a deep understanding of how to help learners of all ages and backgrounds gain confidence in their French. She strongly believes that languages open doors to new perspectives, opportunities, and ways of seeing the world, and she loves guiding her students as they explore the richness of French language and culture.
Manon’s teaching journey began in 2016, when she discovered her love for education as an exchange student in the UK. Since then, her path has taken her across France, Canada, and Latin America, where she has taught international students, university learners, and adults beginning their lives in French-speaking environments. Alongside her teaching, she completed a Master’s in FLE (French as a Foreign Language), a PGCE, and a National Professional Qualification in Leading Teaching, which have all strengthened her pedagogical expertise and reflective practice.
Her lessons are personalised, structured, and motivating, always adapted to each learner’s goals and pace. With younger learners, Manon focuses on building confidence through playful and interactive activities, developing reading, writing, and pronunciation skills in a joyful way. With adults, she emphasises communication, fluency, and cultural immersion, helping them feel comfortable using French in real-life situations - whether for travel, work, or personal growth.
