To support this personalised approach, our tutor comes to your home, creating a familiar and comfortable space where your child feels confident to speak, make mistakes, and truly grow.
The course focuses on pronunciation, listening, and, depending on the child's age, reading and writing skills, along with other essential language abilities.

Our approach
During the lessons, tutors use a whiteboard, but also real-life objects like fruits and vegetables, leaves, toys, or household items to bring vocabulary to life. This helps children truly understand words in context.
Our tutors also lead fun, immersive activities such as baking cookies, singing songs, or even going on a ‘French scavenger hunt’ around the house.
These playful, real-world experiences keep your child engaged, happy, and eager to learn French.
Support Materials
To make learning French engaging and effective, we provide each child with their own mini whiteboard and notebook, perfect for hands-on learning at home.
During lessons, we also use a whiteboard, allowing our young learners to visualise new words, interact with exercises, and stay actively involved.
These simple tools make a big difference in helping children stay focused, have fun, and build confidence in French.
At the end of every term, the tutor will provide you a progress report, so you can easily follow what they’re learning week after week.
Your child's progress report
At the end of every term, the tutor will provide you with a detailed progress report. It includes the main topics covered during the trimester, such as vocabulary themes, reading and pronunciation exercises, and hands-on activities.
You’ll also get clear insights into your child’s strengths, areas for improvement, and how the tutor is adjusting and personalising the learning plan for the next term. This way, you stay informed and involved in your child’s French learning journey
Children Online lessons

For online lessons, we recommend a minimum age of 8 years.
As parents, we often wonder how to keep our children learning and growing outside of school hours, how to support our children’s learning with busy schedules, school breaks, and screen fatigue.
At Gaëlle & French Tutors we offer sessions ranging from 30 minutes for younger children to 60 minutes for older ones. The goal is to provide an unique learning experience where screen time is used effectively and qualitatively. The activities cover the same material as our standard French courses, complemented by lively and interactive activities.
With personalised learning tailored to your child’s pace, online lessons are a convenient and effective way to ensure consistent progress. Moreover, your child will have access to a wide range of resources and engaging digital tools that make learning fun and interactive. It's a perfect solution for families looking to combine education with convenience.
This is why we also offer online courses during school holidays, ensuring that children do not lose their knowledge and can continue progressing.
